Gopher Tortoise GIS/GPS Field Mapping Application
GIS Associates developed an ArcPad application to allow field biologists at Pandion Systems to capture the GPS locations of gopher tortoise burrows, and also significant plant and other animal sightings. GISA staff configured the data collection system and supported field biologists in its use.
Submerged Aquatic Vegetation GIS/GPS Field Mapping Application for the Suwannee River Water Management District
In a subcontract to Golder Associates, GIS Associates developed and deployed a GIS/GPS field data collection system using DynaMo-GIS software and a Trimble AgGPS 132. GISA trained and supported the field biologist mapping submerged aquatic vegetation on the lower Suwannee River. GISA performed final topology-related quality assurance and clean up of the data, and developed ½-km section maps of the data.
